Thanks for your question. At the beginning I suggest all students to place the ghost notes in the upper part of the cajon using fingers. But actually, you can also play the ghost notes in the same place you play the slap tone. The most important of ghost notes is play them very low, the place where you play is not so important, the volume is the most important. This is what gives the right dynamics to grooves and fills.
