Hi from UK
Hello Felipe and fellow cajon players.
I live in Bradford, West Yorkshire in a small village where the Brontë sisters were born.
At school I had guitar and clarinet lessons but academia and then work took over and music got left behind.
I’ve been playing cajon for about 4 years now. I have a Cruz cajon by Heidi Joubert and I love it. I enjoy going to local sessions to play with other musicians, and with my son who plays guitar and piano. More recently I bought the Meinl digital cajon so I could practice silently. I’m not massively sure about it yet. It is great for recording though. I did Take it Easy by The Eagles with my son on guitar and it sounded great.
I have played Irish whistle and flute for over 20 years and more recently Native American flute. I love all things flute.
I’m also learning to play guitar again. I tried a few times with my childhood guitar but it had reached the end of its life so it went off to the tip and I bought a new one. I have a Yamaha classical and a Tanglewood acoustic. I’m not very good yet but I’m trying.
Looking forward to doing the courses, meeting some new virtual friends and improving my playing.
Bye for now
Denise 😎
