I find that I always tend to favor my dominant hand when playing and hence have trouble maintaining a groove that requires my non dominant hand to play different patterns.

Does this come with time? Are there any exercises I can use to become more competent/comfortable with my non dominant hand?

    Hi Mark,

It happens with most of people. I need to work a lot on my non dominant to keep up with the dominant hand. As you said this will come with time and practice.

I suggest to you this video I’ve posted a while a go with speed exercises for both hands that you can also practice them only for your non dominant hand if you want.

Give it a try and let me know how it goes,

    Cheers!
